I really don't make any new year's resolutions or promises.
I mean I don't think you should wait for a particular date to make a change. When you're ready to do it you just do it. Ya know? Usually when I lead my family prayer, I make sure to thank God for all His blessings bestowed on our family and I also ask Him for guidance for me and our whole family.
"May the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts be accepatable in Thy sight. O Lord, our strength and our Redeemer. "
I used it in our family prayer as we all joined hands on New Year's Eve, but it's not a D. Washington original. It's a line I jacked from the Psalms of David. Our late pastor W. D. Richardson used to use that Psalm a LOT when he led our congregational prayer.
Psalms 19:14 is a heart hitter.
2009 is a brand new year.
